Warner Premiere film 'Another Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song' auditions underway for ABC Family

Shooting has been completed on Another Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song.

The third film in the Warner Bros. Studios "Another Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song" franchise began shooting in February, 2011 and the casting directors are casting various roles for male and female talented singers and dancers who are above 18 years of age that can play 17 year olds. These are for principal actor speaking roles under SAG contract.

Damon Santostefano will direct from a script written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. Santostefano directed the 2008 direct-to-DVD "Another Cinderella Story," which was also written by Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott. Patterson and Scott won a Writers Guild of America Award for that video, and Selena Gomez won a Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special - Leading Young Actress. "Another Cinderella Story" aired on the ABC Family on January 19, 2009.

The current working title is simply "A Cinderella Story". Dylan Sellers will produce under the banner of his production company, Unique Features. Sellers also produced the first two "Cinderella Story" films. Clifford Werber and Ilyssa Goodman, both also alumni from the first two films, will again executive produce.

Lucy Hale has been cast as the film's star. Hale currently plays the role of Aria Montgomery on the hit ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars". She also appeared is the short lived ABC Family series "Ruby & the Rockits," Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place," and played Rose Baker on the Warner Bros. Television comedy series "Privileged".

The lead and supporting roles are being cast out of Los Angeles, and additional actor casting will take place in Wilmington, NC where shooting will take place. All of the film's extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles will also be cast in Wilmington.

Story:

Cyrano De Bergerac meets Cinderella. Over-worked, harried and terrified of being put back in foster care, 17 year old Katie (Lucy Hale) does her stepmother and step-siblings' bidding without complaining. Vocally gifted, Katie feels particularly upset when forced to lay down singing tracks so that her untalented stepsister, Bev Van Ravensway, can hopefully win a recording contract from Massive Records - who's company President, Harvey Morgan, is scouting for new spectacular talent at a talent showcase for the Performing Arts Department at a prestigious private school.
